Great post Jake! And very timely. You and your team are an inspiration, and hopefully you'll lead the way for the next generation of racers. Show them that they can succeed with hard training and smart teamwork.

Hi Judi,

Thanks for the comments and for braving the weather at Delta. The ever optimistic Kevin told us every night, "I think this is good for us". Yeah, well so is the sun Kev. Get on the Vitamin D train. I'm a little low after my 'summer in Vancouver'.

Take care,
Jake

Hey Jake, great blog! It has been great to watch the team's successes over the years and especially in the last year. Kevin and Mark are very passionate about the team and its great to know your passion matches theirs. I had a great time standing in the rain during BC Superweek watching you guys race. It was very exciting learning about the strategy of bike racing and then seeing it in action. My favourite race was the Delta Criterium. Very fun to watch even in the torrential downpours! You seemed to really ride as a team.

And then there is this doping business. Very interesting! I love the things that force ethics into the daylight. And this is a big one. No better way to discover our "true" ethics than when we are up against something we REALLY want. What will we do to get what we want??? It appears many athletes will do almost anything, compromise their ethics and even put themselves at physical risk. So, you have chosen something different and it appears that the team has chosen something different as well. Very powerful! I know there are many that applaud and support you for those ethics.

So keep having fun together and who knows what you will accomplish. . . .
