Mission Aborted
Went in for surgery today. The doctor came in after awhile just before the anesthetist started his work and moved my shoulder around. I have a lot of mobility and basically no pain. So they hauled in a portable x-ray machine and zapped me one more time. Now the bones are parallel to eachother and a bit closer together. So he felt the surgery would be unnecessary. I skipped my morning cappuccino for nothing…but home by 10am. I am glad however that I didn't have to get the metal tube shoved down my throat.

Glad to hear you escaped the metal tube shoved down your throat, and the surgery.
I broke both my shoulder blades in a riding accident, and because I was already in great shape, I didn't have to get surgery either.
I am a huge fan of the team, because you guys work so hard and get all the wins the hard way- no drugs!
Also, you're a Canadian team. I hope you guys get into the Tour de France soon!
Hi Vaughn. Thanks for the comments. Glad you didn't have to get surgery either but breaking both shoulder blades, ouch. At the same time? I tell you, for me, getting out of the sling and putting on a Figure Eight brace was the greatest thing in the world. I could use my arm a little bit. I had also torn my tricep slightly and when in the sling, I would have these impulses to straighten my arm and I'd get a horrible shock of pain in my tricep. The figure eight saved the day on that too.
I'm glad that you are supporting our mission of racing drug free. The guys on the team are all good friends because we are all against doping and it brings us together at the races to win clean as a team. And I think that's why we've been successful.
