Well, we haven't written since stage 3 - because we got really tired from the racing. Jeez, that Columbia sandwich created a bit of a doozy of a Sh*tstorm. We've never quite seen anything like stage 4 and that put us a in a real bind. We were honestly scared to lose it all there and that put us in a position where we wanted to ride to conserve Svein's third overall. That might sound like a cop out, but third overall in a race of this scale would be huge for us and we decided to take a conservative approach to the remainder of the tour in terms of GC. And shoot for stages when the opportunity was there with Pinfold. (more…)

Tour of Missouri - Stage 3 Time Trial. Dwayner rode to 3rd place today in the Branson Time Trail. That moves him into the 3rd in the overall GC and puts us into a Columbia sandwich - Rogers in 2nd and Hincapie in 4th.

Tour of Missouri - Stage 2. Cycling seems to have changed a bit in the last few years. Races finish closer, it's harder to separate guys on time… just look at last year in the Vuelta Chihuahua where after three days over 3000m altitude with two massive climbing stages Christian finished a six day tour equal on time with the winner - the race was decided on points. As a result of the trend in 'close' racing, and I can't say I know this for sure, I think the commissaires are more prone to allocate time gaps in the field at the finish. Not like before when a group was a group and if you were in a group that sat up for a few seconds in the final 500m, well you got pack time. (more…)

Today's stage played out pretty much the way we expected - a small break got away and Columbia rode tempo to bring it all back together for a bunch sprint. Cavendish won. It will likely be the same again tomorrow. Our story today that we rode pretty much to our plan. We wanted: (more…)

We are here in Kanasas City on the eve of the start of the Tour of Missouri. Everything made it, but one rider. So we are starting a man down - Zach had to pull out this week. Everything is done here now, bikes are washed, cars a cleaned up, new tires are glued up, bottles made and we're motvated. A lot of people thought we wouldn't make it here, but we did. Maybe that is an acheivement in itslef? We're a bit rag-tag but we made it. Dave Towle is a great guy and always rallies the crowd the support us at the team presentation. The guys have done a lot of things right to make themselves a well-liked team. (more…)
